join or sign up for your business opportunity, your people skills need to be especially honed and sharpened. How you treat people who
can help you make money is not incidental, it’s everything; and there are certain basic guidelines that you should follow.
Treat all business prospects with respect and consideration – When someone is interested in your business opportunity, you should sit them down and ask them some questions. Ask about their goals for themselves in the business, what skills and strengths they have to offer and what they may need to work on. Be honest about the benefits and drawbacks, and tell them how the business has worked in your life. If they sign up, check on them periodically through email or even a phone call and help them when they need it. In other words, treat each business prospect with the utmost concern for their welfare—the relationships you build will prove invaluable.
Be prepared to answer any and all questions about your business - You may think that you know everything there is to know about your business, but stop for a moment and think about it. If you didn’t know anything at all about this business but were approached by someone who wanted to recruit you into it, what sorts of questions would you ask? Write them down and make sure you have answers to all of them.
Learn something from every interaction - Every time that you talk with a business prospect, write down the gems or the the lessons learnsd from your prospectsafterward what this person has taught you. It doesn’t matter if you were successful in convincing the person to join your business opportunity or not. After each interaction, think about how the person reacted to you. Note what you think you did right and what you think you may need to work on.
Convey confidence always- Your belief in the products or the services that you provide in your business should be obvious in the confident way that you speak with your prospects. Your attitude shouldn’t convey that you want them to sign on because you need the money; it should be that you want them to sign on because you believe it will benefit them.
Express proper gratitude - You want to let business prospects know that you are grateful for the time they’ve given you. Often someone whom you think is a lost cause will come back later after thinking over what you’ve told them. Leave everyone you speak to with a good impression.
In order to sell people on the business to which you want to recruit them, you have to sell yourself as well. Treat people with respect, be honest about everything, and let your enthusiasm show. By following these simple guidelines, you are bound to be successful.
